The William Hill Trophy is a hard fought race with a large field and its the first handicap of the festival.  You have to go back to 1994 and Antonin to
find the last favourite to win,  and there has only being one since 1977.
We therefore suggest you look down the card for an outsider.    No winner in lst 10 hascarried more than 11 stone..   The winners recently have ended to be 8 or 9 year olds so you can maybe cut down the field by discounting horses over the age of 10 and below 8.    No trainer has got a monopoly on this event although Martin Pipe trained horses do particularly bad!.so maybe avoid his trained mares.So in summary look for

• Look for horse who is 8 or 9 years old

• A Horse that is not trained by Martin Pipe

• Avoid favourites so look from 4th in the betting

• Horses who have had max of 3 outings this year

• Look for winning form over 3m + in a handicap

• Look for a horse running off under 11st. .
