Punchestowns has been installed as the bookies favourite to win the l World Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival in March even though it lost on Saturday by four lengths in the Byrne Group Cleeve Hurdle at Cheltenham Trials day.
This was Punchestowns last race before the festival, bookies still have punchestowns anti post odds of 11/4 to win the Ladbrokes World Hurdle during Cheltenham Festival.
“Punchestowns is absolutely fine. We know we’ve left something to work on and it wasn’t the World Hurdle on Saturday,” said the Seven Barrows trainer.
